Police are investigating a stabbing that injured a teenage boy in Duluth over the weekend. Officers responded around 6 p.m. Saturday to a report of a fight in the 400 block of North Ninth Avenue East, and when they arrived, officers "found an active fight occurring and shortly after found a juvenile male with possible stab wounds," according to the Duluth Police Department. The victim – whose age wasn't shared by police – was taken to a hospital with injuries that weren't believed to be life-threatening. Local station FOX 21 interviewed a woman who said her 16-year-old son was stabbed four times by her ex-boyfriend, as the teen tried to protect her. A man who's cooperating with an investigation into the stabbing was interviewed by police and released, according to the department. Duluth PD will continue to investigate the incident in the East Hillside neighborhood, involving people who "are known to each other."
