Man Accidently Shoots Himself
A northern Minnesota man was injured when he accidentally shot himself while sleeping with his gun, officials say. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, a 67-year-old Makinen man called 911 just after midnight Saturday to report he had accidentally shot himself in the leg with a pistol. The man, who lives alone, said he was awakened by a noise and grabbed his gun. He then went back to sleep while still holding the gun and shot himself in the leg, according to the sheriff's office. The man suffered a non-life-threatening injury, and he was treated at the hospital.
