On Sunday (01/05/2) evening, at approximately 6:25pm, the Todd County Sheriff's Office received a report of a house fire at the address of 46505 121st Ave, Hewitt, MN. Sheriff's Deputies, Hewitt Fire, Bertha Fire, and Bertha Ambulance responded to the scene. It was reported everyone inside of the residence was able to get out safely. The fire was later able to be extinguished. The home appears to be a total loss. Also assisting on scene were the Verndale and Wadena Fire Departments as well as Todd-Wadena Power. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Todd County Sheriff's Office and the MN State Fire Marshal.
