A two-vehicle crash left one man dead in central Minnesota on Friday. The crash happened around 12:25 p.m. at the intersection of 120th Avenue and 30th Street, just south of Bowlus in Two Rivers Township. According to the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, the driver of a Toyota Prius was westbound on 30th Street and collided with a Ford F-450, with the impact causing both vehicles to roll onto their roofs and come to a rest in the ditch. The driver of the Prius was extricated from the vehicle before being pronounced dead at the scene. The driver's identity will be released at a later date. The driver and passengers in the Ford F-450 were treated at the scene and released. The crash was violent to the point that a power pole was struck and "sheared off," the sheriff's office said. Minnesota Power was dispatched to the scene to address the damage to the utility pole.
